Morris County St. Patrick's Day Parade

Parade Charitable Donation Highlights

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade of Morris County is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that meets the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code. Besides putting on the parade, our objective is to provide charitable contributions to programs, most of them local that benefit children with special needs, other special need organizations as well as programs that foster and enhance our Irish Culture. Over the last 37 years the parade committees have been able to donate approximately $300,000 to various organizations. In fact in each of the years, from 2008 to 2012, the Parade was able to distribute $20,000 per year through the generosity of its many supporters. After the 2018 and 2019 parade, we were able to increase donations to various charities.

After all parade expenses are paid each year the Parade Trustees determine the amount of excess funds that are available for charitable contributions. Both the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Morris County and the Irish American Association of Northwest Jersey, as co-sponsors of parade, then designate recipients.

We would like to share with you a list of some of the charities that received contributions. Here is a sampling of our recent recipients:
